					<description>@Mark: I think you can safely assume that Apple will likely never add support for 32-bit processors.  However, the Soy Latte project does intend to do exactly that AND back port to older OSes like Tiger.  They plan to do the same for Java 7 as well (surely years ahead of Sun).  I know there was talk of moving their work into OpenJDK where it could be merged with the source BSD distro, which would be even better.</description>

					<description>For me the Apple issue isn't that they only support Java 6 under the latest version of the OS. The issue is that they only support it machines with 64-bit processors. As far as I know, they haven't committed to ever supporting Java 6 on 32-processors. My laptop isn't old enough to consider an upgrade yet!</description>

					<description>500 warnings is funny, i had more in my home made apps. Plus you can block warnings in your IDE, however if you work at sun it might be hard, because from what i heard of they compile using console and javac(i had sun exam).</description>
