The best presentation ever

Seriously, this is it.

The presentation is “Archaeopteryx: A Ruby MIDI Generator” by Giles Bowkett and it’s ostensibly about this Ruby thing but actually just chock full of stories and fun and about all sorts of open source / startup / vc stuff. Just go watch it and make sure you get past the first 5 minutes of midi stuff (which is also fun). But the part after that is way better.
