as a database driven guy usually i would comment your article with good arguments against that terracotta grid;

but i am not able to this. Oracle tried to bring in grid like functionality with its 10/11g database; but it&#039;s not a grid at all. Lacking in real scalability , a massive number of nodes and low complexity.
So i believe the grid will live as object grid and terracotta seems to be very resource-gentle in handling them.
