The term of the present Interim GB has been extended for another year, and we expect to fill the two empty seats within the next four weeks.

With respect to the JCP and activity in the JDK 7 Project, these are not within the purview of the OpenJDK GB, interim or otherwise. The GB's role is that of a combined legislative and judiciary for the OpenJDK Community, i.e., to define and maintain the general rules by which the Community operates and to resolve disputes within that context. It is not an executive body with power over the technical work going on in any particular Project, nor is it responsible for the relationship, if any, between any particular Project and the JCP.
