Hi! My name is Alex Miller and I live in St. Louis. I write code for a living and currently work for Revelytix on semantic web products.
In the past I worked for Terracotta, BEA Systems, and MetaMatrix. My main language for the last decade has been Java, although I’m interested in many different languages. I am the founder of the Lambda Lounge user group and the Strange Loop developer conference.

I am impressed by the quality of the video. Was it much work getting it published to the web? You used a Flip Video for recording, no?
Yep, this was recorded with the non-HD flip. I was also pretty impressed with how it came out given that. Questions from the front half of the audience are even pretty easy to make out.
Publishing was actually pretty straightforward – just sucked it into iMovie, slapped a title image in front, did a tiny bit of edit at the beginning and end for clean up and exported.
