Hello, Alex sir, My name is Vinit Shah. i read your blog regularly and it seems to me very Helpful, I am working as a software Engineer in Elitecore technologies, India. But, I am trapped in Ehcache. My Question is about the load testing with Ehcache, Can you suggest me some tool or some methodology to test my Hibernate Application with Ehcache ???
Thanks and Regards ,
Vinit Shah.

Hi Alex,

This is indeed a wonderful insight. Dynamic clustering is the future as it addresses issues like Scalability and Reliability. I have found another article on internet which also talks about dynamic clustering. I wanted to request if you could give all the readers of your blog, a comparison between Ehcache and NCache? Because NCache not only talks about the dynamic clustering in this article but it also throws light on Peer to Peer Dynamic cluster, OutProc Mode and InProc Mode. Not to mention that they now give a wrapper for Memcached and also have a free distributed cache called NCache Express.

@Casper: Lots of good questions there. So good, that I wrote another blog entry to address it.

Unlike Ehcache and Hibernate, Terracotta as a magic problem solving layer is somewhat harder to grasp. After having read a bunch of your posts, I am still not 100% sure what Terracotta is or how much is to gain from it. On top of that, an Oracle DBA will claim that Oracle already does the best job at caching.
Have you guys thought of putting together some (simple but concrete) cases for would-be customers to study?
